Mykonos, Greece

Day 24

It was time. The only Mykonos I know is from the movie Wog Boys.  A happy place full of white buildings and wog boys. 5:30am – Jas and Steph met up their tour group while I navigate my own way to the port. In no time I was on the Ferry en route to Mykonos and of course with my daily fix of Greek coffee. I bagged myself a table on the top and set myself up. I wonder if we were on the same Ferry. Thirty minutes in and I am once again reunited with them. We sailed to Mykonos together. It was not until now that we were actually locked up in one spot for more than 5 hours. It felt good to have quality time with them. In no time Jas and I began gas bagging about anything and everything.

We arrived!! I lost track of the girls and was totally clueless in where to go. Now I am once again lost. I somehow found myself a the bus stop however with two routes to pick from. LORD! Which one do I take> Using my own instinct I jumped on the New Port bus. I got off at the last stop and quickly found myself a spot with wifi. Yea it was a restaurant and I was hungry. Here I downed myself my 5th gyros since being in Greece. There was no sigh of Jas online and it clicked to me that I was homeless but it totally didn’t bother me. LOL

Tasha, my savior was online. I am so lucky. As soo as she found out my situation, she was straight into the car to locate me. She arrived in her tiny weeny car. I have never felt so much love from someone I hardly know. She was full of knowledge of Mykonos. I had myself a person guide. In one breath full, she gave me the run down of the whole island.

If you have every travelled with me, you should notice I never do any research.  I just rock up to any destination and wing my way through it. Some may be annoyed with my way. It was the moment I was embraced with Tasha that I fell in love with Mykonos. The driving in Mykonos is one of a kind. Its pretty much super narrow roads, I don’t know how buses get through with two-way traffic.

We stopped at a local grocery and stocked up on Alcohol. This is where I saw Martin Sloveig. I was stroked, star stroked! I stuck my head out of the aisle, there he was staring straight at me. What do I do? I screamed out OMG x3! I wondered if he would take a photo but I was acting too Chicken. I followed him into the alcohol aisle and just watched his every move. Stalker much?

We arrived at Tasha’s accommodation and all I wanted to do was scream & jump. It was so beautiful! BEAUTIFUL! She was located on top of the island where you could view the whole city below. Breathtaking! I see the reason why she comes back to Mykonos every year. She made me fall in love again. I don’t know how much more I could take. Tasha already had my two day itinerary planned. I am so excited!!!! I finally got in touch with Jas and with the help of lovely Tasha I was reunited.

It was 6pm and a deep nap was needed before we party to sunrise. YEAH BABY! MYKONOS!!!

It was Cavo Paradiso tonight with Alesso dropping beats until sunrise. The place was full of Italians. I felt like a home. As per usual, I would wonder off on my own and had my own fun!! Before we knew it, It was Alesso’s last song. NOOO!! I don’t want tonight to end. However that didn’t stopped Tasha and I, we continued for another 2 hours!!!

It was 8am and we had to call it a night, oh sorry I mean morning.

Day 25

Baby, we're in Mykonos! There is no time wasted to be sleeping. After 4 hours sleep it was time to rise and satisfy my tummy. Tasha was kind enough to show us more of Mykonos. This time to Super Paradise, one of the popular beach clubs that hosts beach parties. It was 5pm and the crowd starts to roll in and music is pumping.

I don't know how to describe it but ever since Tomorrowland, music has become my life. There seems to be no song I dislike, everyone touches the heart deep.

As the crowd grew, the people turned feral. My friends were crazy and didn't want to stop. At this point  calafati was OVER it. I got myself together and scooted out. I seriously had no idea where I was, as Tasha has been the leader in directions for the past two days. It was no surprise I found myself on the wrong bus heading to places where I didn't know. Yet again, it didn't bother me.

The night was so wrong, my planned self journey ended up with looking after an intoxicated friend. Numerous complaints about my navigation and too much clinginess. All I wanted right now was to be on my own. Me, myself & I. It took us a good 2.5 hours to make it back to the hotel. I knew Jas was going to be worried. Straight into the room and she wasn't there. OMG!! Now I am worried. Without thinking, I hurried outside and searched for her. I made my way through all directions possible and still no sight. WAIT!!! JAS!! is that you? THANK GOD! High 5's all the way!

We spent our night laying by the beach to the early hours of the morning being anti-social. There was free wifi on the beach. It was the perfect company to end our last Mykonos night. HEARTyou!

We are now off to Paros.
